Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Meets with Wang Hanrong and Other Representatives of Geely Proton's Core Suppliers
Release time:2019-04-29
On April 26, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir, who participated in the second "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum, met in Beijing with representatives of Geely Proton's core suppliers such as the company's chairman and general manager Wang Hanrong, and Chairman of Geely Holding Group Li Shufu, President of DRB-HICOM Group and Chairman of Proton Motors Said attended the meeting.

Prime Minister Mahathir has always paid great attention to and supported the cooperation between Geely and Proton. He said: I believe that the cooperation between Geely and Proton will surely achieve fruitful results, and Proton will also sell well all over the world. High-quality products depend on high-quality parts. I hope that the majority of parts suppliers can realize the great dream with us.

The company thoroughly implements the development policy of "adjusting structure, improving level, and internationalization", actively responds to the national "One Belt One Road" development strategy, and establishes a joint venture in Malaysia. It is the first batch of core suppliers to cooperate with Geely Proton. The company will take this opportunity to speed up the process of internationalization and unswervingly promote the "three supports", namely, relying on Geely Proton to expand to Malaysia and post-market markets such as Perodua other than Proton, relying on Malaysia to extend to the automobile market of the ten ASEAN countries, relying on the three-ring Liluo right-hand research base to radiate to the world right-hand car market, thus contributing to the national "the belt and road initiative" strategy.
